Jeff Lindor is a Haitian-born, Brooklyn-raised social entrepreneur, visionary leader, and founder
& CEO of The Gentlemen’s Factory Inc., a dynamic ecosystem committed to advancing the
personal and professional trajectories of men of color. Born in Haiti and raised in the vibrant
heart of Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Lindor draws on his lived experience as the foundation for his
work—bridging worlds, building community, and championing inclusive leadership across the
African and Caribbean diaspora.
Headquartered in New York City with physical spaces that foster connection and growth,
Gentlemen’s Factory is redefining how leadership, entrepreneurship, and collective healing are
cultivated among men of color.
Mr. Lindor earned his Bachelor’s degree in History from the City University of New York and a
Master’s in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from The New School. His professional
journey began in the banking sector, followed by a leadership role in healthcare, where he helped
spearhead campaigns tied to the rollout of the Affordable Care Act. He later transitioned to
public service as a senior policy advisor to the City of New York, where he worked with City
Hall and the Department of Correction Commissioner on justice reform initiatives at Rikers
Island.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, during a frantic and uncertain time in the world, Mr. Lindor
transformed Gentlemen’s Factory into a national connector—bringing together Black men across
more than 20 U.S. states and 7 countries, including Canada, the U.K., Nigeria, and the
Caribbean. This global network offered critical support and collaboration at a time when many
felt isolated and unseen. Building on that momentum, he is now actively exploring the launch of
Gentlemen’s Factory locations on the continent of Africa, beginning with partnerships in key
urban centers to expand this international community of changemakers.
Through his work at Gentlemen’s Factory, Lindor has built a pioneering model that bridges
cultural legacies with modern leadership development. His impact extends beyond
entrepreneurship; he is also an angel investor and serves on several key boards, including the
Fund for Public Housing, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and Kingsborough Community
College.
A champion of transcontinental collaboration, Mr. Lindor’s work is anchored in Pan-African
ideals and the transformative power of cross-cultural dialogue. His commitment to inclusive
leadership and economic equity continues to create pathways for the next generation of global
innovators and leaders.
