Mrs. Ann Marie Davis is a highly respected transformational leader and catalyst for change who has dedicated her life to serving humanity, being a voice of hope and empowerment for many nationally and globally.
As a revolutionary thinker and transformational leader, Mrs. Davis is known for her passion for gender equality, women’s rights, youth empowerment, social reconstruction, community development, economic empowerment, and the eradication of cervical cancer. Her exquisite decorum, her commitment as a campaigner for empowerment and addressing national and international causes in alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, have catapulted her on global platforms as a trusted advocate on pivotal causes facing nations. She is known as an exemplary nationalist with a deep love for the Bahamas, her selfless genuine down-to-earth love for people, unwavering commitment to help shatter glass ceilings, with her deep intuitive understanding of the challenges faced by many individuals and how to bring solutions.
Mrs. Davis is valiantly leading a national initiative to plant breadfruit trees throughout the Bahamas. Purpose being to educate and show how this is such an important crop for food security for countries like the Bahamas that are highly susceptible to climate change. Breadfruit is loaded with nutrients and consumption helps improve overall health.
At an early age, her parents inculcated within her a deep respect for learning. Now retired, her professional career spanned over 30 years in the field of Financial and Management Accounting. She has an accomplished and stellar career as a Licensed Chartered Accountant (F.C.C.A.), (C.A.), having studied at the London School of Accountancy in London, England to obtain her professional qualifications.
Mrs. Davis is married to the Prime Minister of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, the Honourable Philip Edward “Brave” Davis, K.C., M.P. and is the proud mother of two children and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Davis is community-minded and is widely known for her impeccable organizational and exemplary leadership skills. She is actively engaged in a number of causes, NGO’s, civil and non-profit organizations. Her track record as a revolutionary thinker and prolific communicator, has established her as one of the most respected and authentic transformational leaders in the Bahamas and the world at large. Mrs. Davis pours out unselfishly as a mentor and trusted advisor to this generation. She has dedicated her life to equipping individuals to discover purpose, live authentically, and to make meaningful and significant contributions towards making The Bahamas and this world a better place for all God’s creations including animals, as she is a Board member of the Bahamas Humane Society.
